“I was trying to write my own story, to carve out a life based on what I could see with my own eyes. I finally reached a place where I realized the only way through was to surrender. To stop striving. To make room for God’s plan instead of my own,” Kennedy continues, “This song became a personal confession and a reset. It reminded me that the roadblocks in life might not disappear, but the weight of them can when I let go and give them to Him.”
Earlier this summer, Tiera took to the platform stage at Nissan Stadium during CMA Fest, where she performed her latest single “Somebody Like You” and ROOTED album cut “Keep Your Promises” to a crowd of 69,000+.
