Somewhere out there in a fictional universe, South Detroit does exist, and a city boy from there is about to meet a small-town girl for one magical night. Here in Detroit, we’ll step into that story for a few hours when Journey plays Little Caesars Arena on November 2, 2026, as part of The Final Frontier Tour.

“The energy has been incredible every night. Seeing these crowds sing these songs with us after all these years has been powerful. We’re excited to bring The Final Frontier Tour to even more cities this fall” – Founder Neal Schon
It’s billed as “An Evening With Journey,” two full sets with an intermission and no opening act. Neal Schon has said the band will mix in a few songs they haven’t played in decades alongside the hits. For fans who know the albums front to back, there could be a few welcome surprises. Others may hear a song for the first time that sends them digging into the catalog afterward.

“The fans have been incredible. Every night feels like a celebration, and we’re excited to share that experience with even more cities” – Arnel Pineda
There’s plenty for the band to choose from. “Any Way You Want It” is the kind of song you turn up before you even realize you’re reaching for the volume. “Faithfully” has closed out so many Michigan wedding receptions it deserves a seat at the head table. “Separate Ways (Worlds Apart)” only needs that opening keyboard riff to get the crowd on its feet.
And then there’s “Don’t Stop Believin’,” with its “born and raised in South Detroit” lyric passed down like a family heirloom. When that line arrives, you can bet every generation in the arena will give it a little extra volume.
Since forming in 1973, Journey has sold more than 100 million records worldwide and earned 19 Top 40 singles, with a Rock & Roll Hall of Fame induction following in 2017. Their story also took an unlikely turn when Schon discovered Pineda singing on YouTube, a path from cover-band stages to arena crowds captured in the documentary Don’t Stop Believin’: Everyman’s Journey.

“These songs continue to connect with people in such a meaningful way. We’re grateful for the fans who’ve supported this music across generations” – Jonathan Cain
Journey’s music has long been a soundtrack to our lives, through the excitement of new love, the comfort we look for after heartbreak, and the days when we need a reason to keep going. On November 2, we’ll bring those memories to Little Caesars Arena and share a night with friends and strangers who have their own stories tied to these songs.
